apunts indexed in the prestigious ISI-Thomson Reuters database

During the month of July, Apunts. Educación Física y Deportes has been added to the prestigious ISI-Thomson Reuters Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in Web of Science, consideration by Thomson Reuters to be accepted in the Science Citation Index Expanded™, the Social Sciences Citation Index®, and the Arts & Humanities Citation Index®. The quality and depth of content Web of Science offers to researchers, authors, publishers, and institutions sets it apart from other research databases. The inclusion of apunts. Educación Física y Deportes  in the Emerging Sources Citation Index demonstrates our dedication to providing the most relevant and influential content to our community.

With this new addition, plus Scopus and ERIH Plus where it was already indexed, our journal reaches the top level required by the Spanish national agencies – CNEAI, ANECA and ANEP – for a high impact journal.

Our previous index level, before these latest enclosures, was one of those considered journals to be highly influential in our academic and scientific field, leading the list (n = 34) in the MIAR index with 10.

At the present time we are indexed in 38 bibliographic databases, that implies a vast presence and dissemination for a scientific journal in the field of Physical Education & Sport Sciences.

The Editorial Board would like to congratulate each of you for this significant accomplishment and for making possible the publication Apunts. Educación Física y Deportes along these 31 years!
